Wipe clean with a damp cloth after use and allow the headguard to air dry naturally. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or storing while damp to preserve the leather.

For a child starting supervised sparring, the S size fits a smaller head. Measure around the head just above the eyebrows, and the guard should sit firm without pressing on the eyes or moving when the head turns.
Does my child need a headguard for boxing?
Not for technique classes, where there is no contact to the head. Once a coach decides a child is ready for supervised sparring, a properly fitted headguard becomes essential and most clubs make it mandatory.
Full protection or open face headguard?
A headguard with cheek protection covers more of the face for harder sparring. An open face guard gives a wider field of vision for technical sparring. Many beginners start with more protection.
How should a boxing headguard fit?
Snug and still: it should not slide when the head moves or a glove touches it, and it should not cover the eyes. The lace top and rear strap adjust the fit.
