Gifts for Boxers: What They Actually Want
Ideas from AED 49 to AED 379, sorted by what someone who trains will genuinely use. Written by people who watch this gear come back for repairs.

The safest good gift for someone who boxes is hand wraps. They are used every single session, they wear out, and nobody ever owns enough pairs. At AED 49 they are also the easiest thing to get right, because there is no sizing to guess.
The thing to avoid is gloves, unless you know exactly what they train in. Gloves are personal, sizing is specific, and a wrong pair sits in a cupboard.
Under AED 100
Laaf hand wraps at AED 49. The single most-used piece of kit anyone owns and the one people put off replacing. Buy two pairs so there is always a clean one, which is the actual problem wraps solve.
The gym pouch at AED 69 is the other reliable one. Everyone who trains has a bag full of loose wraps, a mouthguard case and a phone, and everyone means to sort it out.
Performance sweat towels at AED 49 for a pack of two sounds dull and is one of the most-used gifts on this list, particularly in summer.
AED 100 to AED 200
The Haawi H-1 at AED 199 if you know their size. This is the everyday training glove, the pair that lives in the bag. If you are unsure of size, what oz boxing gloves should you buy works it out from body weight, and 14oz covers most adults.
Murabbi focus pads at AED 189 for anyone who trains with a partner at home. A genuinely thoughtful gift for a couple who both box, and useless for someone who only goes to classes.
Training kit is a good option if you know what they wear. The Breeze Tee at AED 129 is cut for heat, which matters more here than anywhere.
Over AED 200
The Mulakim M-1 at AED 379 is the serious gift: premium leather, built to last years rather than a season. For someone who trains four or five times a week and is still using the pair they bought as a beginner, this is the upgrade they have been putting off.
A headguard at AED 279 only makes sense if you know they spar. Someone doing fitness classes will never take it out of the box.
What not to buy
Anything with their name printed on it, unless they asked. Custom gear is a personal choice and printed gloves are the first thing people quietly stop using.
Punch bags, unless you have seen where it would hang. Most UAE apartments cannot take one, and returning a 40kg bag is nobody's idea of a good week.
And skip the novelty sets. The cheap glove-and-wrap combinations sold as gifts use padding that flattens in weeks, and a beginner who starts on bad gloves usually decides boxing hurts their hands rather than that the gloves were the problem. Boxing equipment for beginners covers what a genuine starter kit looks like.
Common questions
Only if you know their size and what they train in. Gloves are personal and sizing matters. Wraps, a bag or towels are safer and always used.
Hand wraps at AED 49 or a gym pouch at AED 69. Both get used every session and both are things people put off buying for themselves.
Wraps. Everyone needs them, everyone loses them, and nobody has enough pairs. Gloves can wait until they know what size they want.
