FYYTR delivers boxing gear from the UAE to Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain at a flat AED 55 per order, usually in 2 to 5 business days. The one thing that differs between the three is tax at the door: Kuwait has no VAT, Oman charges 5% on imports and Bahrain charges 10%, collected by the courier when your parcel arrives.

Everything else is the same wherever you train. A starting kit is Laaf hand wraps at AED 49 and a 14oz Haawi H-1 at AED 299.

What does delivery to Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain cost?

CountryDelivery per orderImport VAT on deliveryTypical time
KuwaitAED 55None2 to 5 business days
OmanAED 555%2 to 5 business days
BahrainAED 5510%2 to 5 business days

The delivery rate is flat, so one pair of wraps and a full kit cost the same to send. VAT is assessed by customs in Oman and Bahrain and collected by the courier, so treat it as an estimate rather than a fixed quote.

A worked example for a starting kit of wraps and a 14oz Haawi H-1 (AED 348) plus delivery (AED 55):

  • Kuwait: AED 403, nothing more at the door.
  • Oman: about AED 420 with 5% VAT.
  • Bahrain: about AED 440 with 10% VAT.

Which boxing gloves should you buy?

A training glove with layered foam and a long cuff, in 14oz unless your weight says otherwise. That glove covers bag work, pads and light partner drills, which is most of what anyone does in their first year.

The Haawi H-1 is AED 249 in 8oz and AED 299 in 10, 12 and 14oz. For people training four or more times a week, the Mulakim M-1 at AED 499 is premium leather that holds its shape through that volume. The trade off between them is laid out in Haawi H-1 or Mulakim M-1, and sizing by weight is in what oz boxing gloves should you buy.

Why buy wraps with your first gloves?

Gloves are shaped to be worn over wraps. Without them the fit is loose, the small bones of the hand go unsupported, and your sweat soaks straight into the glove lining, which is what breaks the padding down.

A AED 49 pair of wraps is the cheapest way to make a AED 299 glove last years instead of months. Buy 450cm if you have adult-sized hands and want full wrist support, and how to wrap your hands for boxing shows the method coaches teach.

When do you need a headguard?

When you start sparring, and not before. Fitness classes and pad work do not need one.

The open face model at AED 379 is the usual first guard, because you see punches coming and learn to slip them. If you spar hard or often, the full protection headguard at AED 399 adds cover across the cheekbones. Fit matters more than the model: a guard that rotates on your head is worse than none. Boxing headgear: how to choose and fit it covers both.

Buying online from the UAE: what to check

Whoever you buy from in the Gulf, check four things before paying: where the parcel ships from, the delivery time, what is collected at the door, and what a return costs. A seller that hides any of the four will usually surprise you with it later. Buying boxing equipment online goes through each one.
